Copenhagen Street Food

Delicacies. Taste sensations. Gourmet. All together under one roof in a hall on Paper Island in Copenhagen, you will find the popular Street Food Copenhagen. The concept is simple: Buy food from food trucks and stalls, find somewhere to sit overlooking Copenhagen Harbour and enjoy a simple culinary experience, which tastes divine!

Paper Island Copenhagen – food stalls and food trucks

Since May 2014, Paper Island has been home to Copenhagen Street Food and, crossing the bridge from Nyhavn or Christianshavn, it is easy to get to on foot and by bicycle. It is open every day for people wishing to taste and experience food from all corners of the world – under one roof in Copenhagen. There is something for everyone, so even picky eaters will find something to tempt them after a walk around the various food stalls and food trucks. The hall is large, and there is room for you to sit at one of the long tables in the middle of the hall, and soak in the whole atmosphere while you eat the food you have bought. If the weather is good, most people enjoy their food outside, grabbing a seat at one of the tables or a sun lounger right at the water's edge.

Big Tasty Bingo and Street Food

Every Wednesday, the hall welcomes you inside for Big Tasty Bingo, an event that has become something of a tradition, where you can win concert tickets and have fun with your family and friends. It is free to take part, and the food stalls and food trucks are open while you play, ready to take your order.

There is room for 250 people, so participation is on a first come, first served basis.
Enjoy an evening in good company, eat good food and shout out when you get bingo!

Street kitchens for a good cause

Copenhagen Street Food is the people's first cheap and cheerful food market in the heart of Copenhagen. The idea is to help promote a global street food kitchen for the people, so dishes costing DKK 50-100 are served and admission is free.

Copenhagen Street Food is run by the Copenhagen Street Food association – for conservation of the original red dairy cattle and Thorshøjgaard, a farm run by one of Denmark's most idealistic farmers. Copenhagen Street Food is part of Paper Island from 2014-2018, as use of the area has always been temporary. In 2018, Copenhagen Street Food is expected to be moved to new surroundings, and Paper Island will become a whole new chapter in the heart of Copenhagen.
