House Rules

18+

Guests under 18 years old are not allowed to sleep in our shared dorms. When booking a private room, you have to be accompanied by minimum one legal guardian over 18 years old – please contact us before you make your reservation.

Check In/Out

Check in is from 3PM; check out is at 11AM at the latest. Please ask the staff if you want a late check out.

Long stay reservations

The maximum length of stay at Steel House Copenhagen is 14 consecutive nights.

Rooms

In the dorms, please treat your roommates with respect. Use a headset if you want to use your computer or tab- let and do not talk on your phone. Furthermore, please try to be quiet when you enter the room late night or leave early morning.

Shared/Private Rooms

If you are booking beds in a dorm for more than one person, we can’t guarantee that you’ll be placed in the same room. If you want to be sure to stay in the same room, please book a private room.

Bathrooms

There are toilet/shower facilities in all our rooms - in our 4-bed dorms, the shower and toilet are in the same space, but in our 6-bed dorms, they are separate. However, please try not to take too long, as others might be waiting.

Bed Linen & Towel

Bed linen and towel is included in the price. If you stay with us for more than 4 nights, we will provide you with fresh bed linen and towel. You can also choose to get a fresh towel for #25# and have your bed made with fresh linen for #50# at any time - just let us know.

Your Place

In the dorms, use only the bed allocated for you. All beds have a reading light, power sockets, and a place to keep your belongings. For any reason, if you want to move to another bed - let us know first. There is a #500# fee if you use a bed that was not allocated to you. 

Lockers

In the dorms, each guest has their own locker. We highly recommend that you keep all of your belongings locked up. Steel House Copenhagen is not responsible for any loss of valuables. You can use your own padlock to lock it. If you don’t have a padlock, you can buy one at the front desk. Bigger lockers are available in the basement at a cost from #25#.

Breakfast

We offer breakfast combos from 6AM to 11AM from #59#.

Not in the mood for classic breakfast? No worries, we also sell a selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads and snacks at all times.

Public Areas

Our front desk and public areas are always open! Our bar is open from 10AM to 12 midnight, however, we sell sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages at all times. Friends of guests staying at Steel House Copenhagen are welcome in the bar and public areas, but not allowed to go to the dorms/ rooms, pool, gym, cinema & self-service kitchen.

Balconies

There is a fixed fee of #1000# if you throw things down from our balconies or windows, and you will be expelled from Steel House Copenhagen immediately.

Smoking

Steel House Copenhagen is 100% smoke-free. There is a #1000# smoking fee so please go outside to the street if you want to smoke.

Food & Beverages

You are welcome to make and bring your own food and beverages in our self-service kitchen and other designated areas. However, you are not allowed to consume your own alcohol in the premises of the hostel, so please get your drinks from the bar. No food or drinking in the dorms. Please, respect that!

Housekeeping

Our housekeepers starts at 9AM - please let them do their work.

Nothing's Free, but it's Damn Close

We charge a small fee of #25# to use our additional facilities. Pool, and lockers are #25# per use and access to our self-service kitchen can be purchased for #25# for your entire stay. You can use our gym for only #35# for the entire stay.
